Frank Villegas

Trainer/Motivational Speaker-Coach

Frank Villegas has more than 20 years of training experience within several Industries, he has established himself as a creditable trainer and Instructor within our community and the Southwest Region of New Mexico. Over the years Frank has facilitated and completed over 500 training courses and in doing so trained several thousand participants in a broad range of specialties. Including but not limited to holding a certification as an 1st Aid/CPR instructor, Frank is also certified by the Department of Health/DD Waiver department as a Statewide trainer in the following courses: Advocacy 101, ANE Awareness (Abuse prevention course), Communication Supports Training, Positive Supports Training, Foundation for Health and Wellness and many other trainings that are required to support the IDD community. Frank is also an Internal/external certified instructor for the Mandt System. This five-day training program is a crisis prevention and de-escalation system that has had a great impact in supporting professionals that work in high behavioral environments. Frank also has a training background in Business Development, Human Resources, Risk management and Employment Retention. Frank is a passionate advocate and wants to help people connect the dots to creditable information and resources to support hard working professionals that work in high stress and demanding roles in our community.

Darleen Lopez

Trainer/Motivational Speaker-Coach

A passionate community advocate and Safe Space curator. Darleen graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration at Southern New Hampshire University. She was a Certified Peer Support Worker up util 2020 (Despite a lapsed certificate, she continued to do peer support work and mentor over 4 dozen public servants in some capacity). Darleen also has a myriad of certifications under her belt including being a Tier 2 National Trainer for Boys & Girls Club of America. She spent 4 years working directly under the Cabinet Secretary of the Department of Labor as one of only four One Stop Operators in the State of New Mexico. She managed 7 counties in Southwest New Mexico in supporting New Mexico Workforce Development professionals in working cohesively and creating the healthiest environment for seamless program delivery between a multitude of agencies and departments. Being responsible for making all involved “play nicely in the sandbox” gave valuable insight into what causes burn out and how to prevent it.  She has spent the last 12 years optimizing time by engaging in training and advocacy groups in order to better understand the state of social-emotional wellbeing as it pertains to the Public Sector. Her particular calling is training and empowering those who do the most important work in our community and that is helping others get better in some capacity. Her areas of expertise are burnout prevention, self-care and teaching others how to self-advocate in the professional setting.

Safe Spaces is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for individuals seeking positive transformation. Our approach is rooted in empathy, encouragement, and authenticity, fostering a supportive space for personal growth and empowerment. We believe in the power of every individual to create meaningful change in their lives and the world around them. Since corporate change begins with YOU! Safe Spaces is not only transforming the culture of the companies we work with, but we are teaching individuals to be Safe Space Curators. Our Mission is to Teach individual's to live intentionally and transparently and this in conjunction with communication skills, self-advocacy and self-care, we can carry the culture through our trainees. As they implement what they have learned, we believe they will too become safe space curators. Our goal is not to be the only ones doing this kind of transformative work. The ulitmate goal is that everone we train can turn around and continue to move the mission forward, This is not a training, this is a MOVEMENT!
